| Safedem win World Award |
Safedem have been named World Demolition Contractor of the Year at the 2011 World Demolition Awards held in Amsterdam on Friday 4th November 2011
Safedem emerged top of an international field to scoop the top Award. In doing so, Safedem became the only company to have won the Award on two occasions having previously won in 2009.
Managing Director, William Sinclair stated :-

The award criteria recognises companies that have shown their commitment to professionalism, excellence and outstanding technical ability within the demolition industry.
Safedem is one of the very few companies that can tackle all types and scale of demolition and dismantling contracts with a wide variety of demolition techniques.
The international judging panel recognised Safedemęs ability to successfully demolish high rise tower blocks in Dundee by a number of different methods.
Safedem used high reach mechanical techniques to demolish the five blocks in Menzieshill, it has been awarded the floor by floor deconstruction of Tayside House and the judges were particularly impressed with the spectacular city centre demolition of the four multi-storey blocks on Alexander Street with explosives.

Very few people will appreciate that the work procedures Safedem have developed in conjunction with clients like Dundee City Council over the years are now widely regarded as best practice in the industry.
That reputation for best practice has led to Safedem being awarded work orders that have helped Safedem to maintain continued financial growth over the past four years despite the economic downturn.
